Pravasi Mitra is an initiative under Gujarat Tourism designed to enhance the overall tourism ecosystem of Gujarat by empowering frontline stakeholders with structured training and digital enablement. Launched with the vision of improving service quality and visitor experience, Pravasi Mitra focuses on educating and certifying tourism professionals, guides, hospitality staff, and related service providers across the state. The initiative aims to standardize knowledge, promote responsible tourism practices, and ensure consistent service excellence aligned with Gujarat’s growing tourism landscape.
Under the Pravasi Mitra – Gujarat Tourism initiative, the department faced challenges in standardizing and scaling training across tourism stakeholders statewide. The absence of a centralized digital platform led to manual processes, fragmented training delivery, limited certification tracking, and inconsistent service quality.
Managing enrollments, assessments, and performance monitoring through traditional methods created operational inefficiencies and reduced visibility into training outcomes. With increasing tourism demand, there was a clear need for a secure, scalable, and automated eLearning system to streamline training management and ensure consistent skill development across the ecosystem.

Way2IT developed a centralized, cloud-based eLearning platform for the Pravasi Mitra – Gujarat Tourism initiative under Gujarat Tourism to streamline and standardize statewide training operations. The platform was built using Java for a secure and scalable backend, Bootstrap for a responsive and user-friendly interface, and integrated with ServiceNow to automate workflows such as enrollments, approvals, and certification management. Deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure, the system ensures high availability, data security, and seamless scalability. The solution enables structured course delivery, role-based access, real-time progress tracking, automated assessments, centralized reporting, and efficient administrative control—creating a unified digital learning ecosystem for tourism stakeholders.
